Hammering Away for Fort Collins and Habitat for Humanity

Anheuser-Busch Fort Collins Brewery employees and Fort Collins residents gather to help families in need

The Fort Collins Brewery in Colorado was buzzing with activity this weekend as employees raised money for Habitat for Humanity and supported families in the local Fort Collins community.

The weekend kicked off last Thursdaywith over 400 guests at the Hammer ‘n’ Ale fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity. Beginning with a VIP party, Brewmaster Katie Rippell welcomed VIP guests with beer and food pairings selected by Jeff Blackwell, Executive Chef from the local restaurant Moot House.

Event attendees enjoyed delicious local food options from Fort Collins restaurants including Austin’s American Grill, Young’s Café and The Moot House. Guests were provided a variety of malt beverage options, live music from The Blues DoGS, and a silent auction held in the Budweiser Clydesdale stables, with prizes donated by local businesses.

The Budweiser Clydesdales also made an appearance at the event, posing for photos with partygoers during the Hammer ‘n’ Ales event.

Fort Collins Brewery employees continued their work on Saturday morning volunteering with the Habitat for Humanity team. The Anheuser-Busch team assisted in building two new homes and renovating 18 homes.

This is the third year that Anheuser-Busch and Habitat for Humanity have partnered to create employee-driven volunteer projects in Fort Collins. Nationwide, Anheuser-Busch is involved in Habitat for Humanity programs in 12 cities near its U.S. breweries. In 2013, Anheuser-Busch employees built and renovated 38 homes and logged more than 4,500 volunteer hours.
